Emerald is the green form of the gem Beryl where the green color is caused by traces of Chromium. Most Emeralds are included, and it is getting very difficult to find larger gems that are eye clean or even just lightly included. We are happy to be able to offer a select lot of excellent gems from Zambia and Colombia. The Colombian is the most popular of course, but the Zambian gems, known for their subtle blue tint, are remarkably clean and some of the finest available. The only treatment applied to these gems was the common colorless oil used in the cutting process. These were hand selected from a larger import lot and represent the pick of the litter!

COLOR: Top deep Green, glowing lustrous color. Really nice - will look great in a setting.
INCLUSIONS: Many tiny inclusions, not eye noticeable and not distracting (gives the gem its velvet luster by diffracting light within the gem)
OTHER INFO: Pic is at 7X mag. to show inclusions, the real color is better than pic shows - Beautiful deep glowing color!

COLOR: Medium deep Green, very bright !
INCLUSIONS: This gem is "virtually CLEAN" which is very rare in Emerald these days. Only noticeable inclusion is one right on the outside of the pavilion (bottom of gem), which you can see in the pic at 10X. This will not be distracting when the gem is mounted (the pavilion could be re-cut/polished in this area to remove the surface glitch).
OTHER INFO: Pic is at 10X mag. to show inclusions. The real color is better than pic shows. The clarity of this gem is really amazing!

COLOR: Medium deep Green, slight Zambian blue tint.
INCLUSIONS: This gem is quite clean which is very rare in Emerald these days. Only minor inclusions that are on one side and not noticeable. (see top of pic which is at 7X mag.) OTHER INFO: Pic is at 7X mag. to show inclusions, the real color is better than pic shows. The clarity of this gem is very good.
