Emerald is one of the most beuatiful forms of Beryl. The rich green color is caused by traces of Chromium. Unlike other forms of Beryl, Emerald is usually included, and these inclusions are often used in identifying a natural stone from the many worthless created and synthetic gems. Facet grade rough is extremely hard to get these days, and even cab-grade material is often sold by some dealers as "facet-grade". (The last true facet-grade stones we offered sold in less than 1 day.) We are pleased to offer the limited selection below and are always looking for more of this fine material to offer to our clients.
This is beautiful vivid rich green material ! Not quite facet grade, but will be great for Cabs (no large inclusions, fine grained translucent stones)!
